FERRARI WINS MONT-TREMBLANT

Quebec, Canada, September 21. The Scuderia Ferrari of Washington’s #33 Ferrari 360 GT took its third consecutive win today at the 6 Heures du Circuit Mont-Tremblant. The Ferrari also finished third overall, behind two of the faster Daytona Prototype-class racers. The victory further extended the lead of drivers Cort Wagner and Brent Martini in the GrandAm Drivers Championship, and the Scuderia's lead in the GrandAm Team Championship. The team currently holds the GrandAm record of five consecutive wins, set in 2002.

"We were beaten by a Porsche team at Watkins Glen earlier this year," remarked Wagner after the race, "and today we changed positions. The Ferrari didn’t miss a shift for six hours today -- it ran just like a Girard-Perregaux watch. It’s a fun car to drive."

"Luck was on our side today," explained Team Manager Glenn Marquis. "We had a problem with a wheel, and a yellow flag gave us a chance to fix it without losing much time. Beyond that the 360 GT just ran perfectly."

Girard-Perregaux watches remains the Scuderia’s primary sponsor; their limited edition "360 GT" chronograph was created to recognize the team and its Ferrari racer. Market Scan Information Systems has joined the Scuderia as a major sponsor. The company, founded in 1988, is an innovation leader in developing financing software solutions for automotive retailers. Associate sponsors for the Scuderia’s 2003 season are the Peris Companies, Putnam Leasing, and Tubi Style. The Peris Companies was founded in 1991 as a tenant interiors contractor, but has evolved into one of Washington, D.C.’s top regional construction service companies. Putnam Leasing, with offices in Greenwich, Connecticut and Scottsdale, Arizona, is one of the oldest specialty vehicle leasing companies in the United States, with extensive experience in the Ferrari market. Tubi Style is the leading after-market supplier of sporting exhaust systems for Ferraris and other exotic cars.
