James Steerman
Europe
James is ideally located in Europe. Originally from Red Hook New York, he began living in Europe while studying European history in college. He was given a grant to do further research and five years later, he is still in Europe, now working as a rare book dealer.
Steerman’s interest in cars was passed down from his father, a longtime Lancia enthusiast. James bought his first Lancia, an Aurelia Spider, via the Internet at 3 am after a college party. He had to sell a year’s worth of college meal plan “points” to pay for it, and starved for the next eight months!
Now twenty-seven, he finds himself the owner of a rare Lancia Dagrada Formula Junior, a Lancia Appia PF coupe, and still has the Aurelia. Still single, his interests are collecting (“obsessively”) Lancia literature, travel and World War I. James will be sending us articles on weird and wonderful Lancias, plus event coverage such as his excellent report on the Techno Essen show in April. He promises a report on his lastest adventures with the Lancia Dagrada soon.
