C. Bertaschi is right to say that the Disco Volante (see Peròn's Disco Volante s/n 1361.00126) remains
somewhat mysterious, but he oversimplifies the opening story of two 3 litre Spiders, as they are presumable the
'proper' Discos, one in the Biscaretti and one at Arese. Nothing, however, is absolute.

In the article on the Technoclassica-Essen show, the
250F V12, displayed at the stand of respected dealer Klaus Werner, was #2531 (NOT 2431!),[Note- VeloceToday corrected this]
I was involved in the organization of the stand of the German MASERATI Club. The exhibited engine was
the matching-no-motor for the 450S #4502 next to it. The car had its engine out due to service
for the upcoming race-events. It is not correct, that two more 450S
existing to next to #4506 and #4502 in Europe! This two numbers are the only 450S in Europe and all the rest are in the US.
It`s time to name and not ignore the MASERATI Ghibli-Spyders as only 125 of this
type were build. It´s a rare car and so it`s worth to mention that. We had the privilege to have one of only
25 4.9-liter-cars of this type for display and another 4.9-Spyder
was for sale -and was sold immediately!- in the same hall with a German dealer!
