This is an email received from Dino Bandini, a relative of the late Ilario Bandini,
after a meeting with VeloceToday editor-at-large Lorenzo Marchesini.
Hello,
This is my museum of BANDINI cars.
A friend told me that Mr. Pete Vack (ex owner of saponetta BANDINI 750 c.c.) is the editor of VeloceToday.
I am interested in speaking with him.
Do you know the book "Bandini" is now on sale on www.autobooks/aerobooks.com? It is a great book on Bandini cars. Also, there are now 47 Bandinis in the register.
Thank you,
Dino Bandini
We are right with you, Mr. Bandini. We'd surely like to talk with you
as well. I'm sure we'll be in touch!
Hi,
I was at the Coronado race and it was a gas to see the 2 Alfa's beat almost the entire field of sports racing cars. The GTA that was own Siad Marof (spelling?) with Jeff Kline driving was nothing short of amazing. I am sure he pulled over to let the TZ2 finish ahead.
Jeff Kline is the same guy who drove a GTA in the late 60's & 70's as well as a factory BMW, Mazda, Pontiac GTP and drove at LeMans for TWR SilkCut. I have been following him for years. He also drove the Alfa 12C at Montery a few years ago and at Monaco and Goodwood.
The performance at Coronado was nothing short of amazing and you should feature his long history in Alfas.
