There are many lists of things you must do before you die but if you are a car enthusiast just put down September in England. That will make sure that you are there for both the Beaulieu International Autojumble and the Goodwood Revival. I have gone to one or both for the last dozen years and even with the exchange rate turning me into a window shopper I wouldn’t miss the Autojumble. If your automotive hobby ventures beyond Chevys and Fords, you just might find the elusive bit you have been looking for. There are vendors from all over Europe with spectator/buyers from as far away as Japan and Australia helping the event earn the “International” in it’s title. For instance this year I picked up six spark plug caps for a friend’s 1929 Alfa 1750 (from an English vendor who now lives in India) while another friend found a temperature gauge for his 1927 Amilcar, an item he has been after for two years or so.

The Autojumble also has a Used Car Lot and a Bonhams Auction that normally features cars that have needs, just the thing for DIY autojumblers. The 2010 Beaulieu International Autojumble (www.internationalautojumble.co.uk) will be held September 11th and 12th and while the dates for the Goodwood Revival have yet to be announced it seems to be always held within a week one side or the other of Beaulieu. Below are a few of the French items and cars I found this year.
